Sales Representative

Star Microwave, a nation-wide Value Added Reseller of Microwave Communication equipment and services, is currently looking for highly motivated individuals to join our competitive sales force immediately.

The right person, utilizing one or two years of sales experience in an industry-related field and with the ability to adapt to and excel in a fast paced environment, will contribute proactively to sell Microwave Equipment & Services to small, medium and large accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high volume of outbound prospecting calls

  • Respond to and qualify all leads entering the company.

  • Provide backup coverage for field sales team where necessary.

  • Managing all aspects of sales cycle including prospecting, customer qualification, developing and maintaining a sales pipeline, forecasting, and development of account strategies.

  • Achieve/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives within assigned territory through utilization of effective selling techniques, product knowledge, use of SAP as a sales tool.

  • Ability to build relationships within all layers of an account and understand the dynamics necessary to get deals closed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of two years sales experience with proven track record of exceeding quotas and goals

  • Experience in the telecommunication industry a plus

  • Excellent customer service skills a must.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills including excellent telephone skills.

  • Must be a self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and possess excellent organization skills.

  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills with logical thought processes.

  • Previous experience in customer service or technical support in high tech a plus.

Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and email are necessary.
 


Lead Generation Specialist

Located in the East Bay, Star Microwave is a leading microwave equipment resale and service company currently seeking a high-energy person who is organized, knows how to open doors to companies and is willing to learn. In this position, you will conduct outbound sales prospecting by phone to deliver qualified "appointment-ready" leads to territory managers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in lead generation/telemarketing, is resourceful in reaching the decision makers, and must be a quick learner with great people skills, phenomenal phone presence and solid written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include developing qualified opportunities from various lead generation campaigns, target lists, marketing efforts, and the web. To that end, the lead generation expert must be able to contact prospective customers via the telephone and email, provide information about the company's products and services, answer questions, and follow-up with the prospective customer when appropriate.
 
The lead generation specialist role is critical to the sales process and directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the overall sales success.  The right person will work very closely with marketing and sales in generating those leads. The position reports to the marketing manager.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with cold-calling and strong follow-up skills
  • Must be able to deliver benefit statements, handle questions, and document each call.
  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Strong aptitude for learning a new technology
  • Results oriented and motivated
  • Strong PC skills
  • Team player with a customer-focused attitude

Preferred

  •  1-2 years lead generation/sales experience
  • Experience positioning a technical solution to both a technical and a business audience
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry, wireless communications, (specifically microwave)

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience
 


Territory Sales Manager

Located in the East Bay, Star Microwave is a leading microwave equipment resale and service company seeking a high-energy, motivated person experienced in high-tech sales and territory management.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in business development, outside sales and territory management. He/She must be a resourceful and adept at relationship selling to small, medium, and large accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and increasing business and sales quota within the vertical markets.
  • Maintain and expand opportunities in existing accounts, and develop new accounts.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan in the assigned territory to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Respond to all sales calls, correspondence, and inquiries
  • Assist in tracking and qualifying leads
  • Plan and deliver presentations to potential customers and partners
  • Develop and improve partner relations

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of sales experience in high technology sales\
  • Experience in business development, negotiation, and closing deals
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Analyze customer needs and build value-based proposals
  • Strong aptitude for learning a new technology
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability
  • Detail and results oriented with strong follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Strong sense of ROI and business case selling
  • A positive team player with a customer-focused attitude and stellar customer service
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and help them expand their business
  • Strong PC skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred

Prior experience with telecommunications or microwave equipment
Experience positioning a technical solutions to both a technical and a business audience
